1969 Harley-Davidson XLH built as a survivor by searching for the right parts for the right look. Lots of new went into the bike during the build such as swingarm bearings, neck and wheel bearings. A ‘74-‘77 front end was added with new 2” shorter hardened tubes. The sliders have new seals, reflector bosses removed and new fork boots added for period correctness. A 1970 “one year only” XLH lower tree cover rounds it out. Brake caliper totally rebuilt with new parts. New vinyl covered braided line. New drilled disc. New tire and tube. The new hand controls are V-Twin replicas of the way more expensive ones mounted on new K&N bars. Out back has new brakes, tire and tube. New chain. New trans sprocket. Hardly used 13.5” shocks provide the matching stance to the front. New sealed battery. New wiring front to back run inside asphalt covering. A replacement fender was painted to match gas tank. Lucas taillight. Vintage solo seat. New gas and oil lines. Top end recently done. Bottom end good. Clutch good. S&S Super B carb with early raised letter A/C cover. New GASBOX XLR style drag pipes and clamps. Pipes were cut to S&S suggested length. Stock cams. Runs excellent. Could run even better with a little carb tweaking. That about sums it up.
